Need and requirements
Project input: functions, performance, constraints and objectives.
Professional electronics · Since 1991
Since 1991, we have developed custom electronic and electromechanical systems by integrating system studies, electronics, firmware, FPGA, power electronics and Motion Control—from architecture definition through industrialization and lifecycle support.
Engineering and manufacturing in Italy
From the customer’s need to the solution
We begin with the operational need, consolidate requirements and performance, define the architecture and coordinate every discipline through manufacturing, testing and lifecycle support.
Project input: functions, performance, constraints and objectives.
Analysis, feasibility, modelling and architecture definition.
Electronics, firmware, FPGA, software, power and control.
Functional prototypes, architecture verification and risk reduction.
Hardware and software integration into the real machine or system.
Test planning, functional, environmental and EMC/EMI testing.
Manufacturing, testing, traceability, maintenance and obsolescence.
How we work
We start from the customer’s real needs and build the solution around their machine, process and goals. Every technical choice comes from listening, collaboration and the determination to create exactly what is needed.
Before designing, we study the system
SFERA does not simply develop electronics from fully defined specifications: we can help conceive the solution itself, defining functions, architectures, interfaces and verification strategies.
We structure needs, constraints, performance targets and objectives.
→We define functions, interfaces, data flows and allocation across disciplines.
→We assess behaviour, performance, criticalities and operating scenarios.
→We select the most suitable technologies for performance, reliability and lifecycle.
Technology expertise
Custom circuits, microprocessor systems and next-generation microcontrollers.
FPGA logic, high-performance processing, fast communications and strict timing constraints.
Firmware for microcontrollers and FPGAs, control and regulation functions, communications, diagnostics and real-time system management.
Industrial interfaces, fieldbuses, Ethernet, serial links and wireless connectivity.
Test, measurement, data-acquisition and automated production inspection systems.
Electrical, electronic, electromechanical and mechanical design of the complete system.
Distinctive expertise
Power and control developed as a single system for high-performance industrial and special applications.
Power conversion and design of power stages.
Control of motors and electrical machines by integrating power and digital electronics.
Position and speed regulation and control for machines and equipment.
Dedicated expertise in precise, efficient machine control—not generic energy management.
Verification on the real product
Technical and functional verification continues on the prototype and, when required, on the customer’s machine or system to assess the product under its actual operating conditions.
Integration into the real application, interface verification and functional checks under the intended operating conditions.
Definition of the test plan, preparation of the test configuration and technical support throughout test execution.
Environmental chamber testing with thermal cycles, EMC/EMI tests and further checks required by applicable standards and specifications.
SFERA can manage and coordinate product qualification through accredited laboratories.
